Fished Mott this morning with little success around the Genessee bridge. 1-14" eye, 2-12" bass, and a small cat. Did see a dandy 30" eye some guy caught this morning. Question though is it easier trolling down by the beach and power line area. I'd like to troll more area out there with out having to follow the river channel to find deep enough water to troll hot-n-tots and harness's.

baydog i hardly ever fish east of the launch unless i'm at the bridege. down to the west just keep your tots less than 25' back and you can troll anywhere, fishing sucks now that its a bathtub though. weeds are a problem too, must clean lines way way too much. thats a big fish, probably saw you out there i drove over the bridge a few times around 8am, few boats there, saw one black lund.

Going to have to try the other end. I guess trolling on the Bay spoils a person on not really having to follow contour to much. I was suprised at that size of eye coming out of there too. I had the white and gray Sylvan super snapper.

I was out there about 6:30 till around 11:30. Did see a few decent size carp around the shore by the police station.

Right on the corner of Genssee road cross the bridge cross from the public fish pier. Don't know if that is the correct title of the building but always see patrol cars there. :yikes: It must have been you far back in the cove as you leave the launch to the left straight ahead. How did you do on the carp? was thinking about getting equipped and giving it a try.

Yep that was me.... Orange cut off.
It was fun. The water was only about 2-4 feet deep back there. We had a little 12 ft pioneer flatbottow/rowboat. CARP GALORE. We could get close, but not too close. they were very spooky and the water was muddy. I took about 5 shots, hit twice, and lost both of them. The carp were huge and just rolled off the heads. I'm looking into modifying my heads so when the carp roll, they wont flop off.
Gander mountain has a pretty good starter set for $25.99 Might want to check it out. I comes with a hand reel (which is good for the $$), bow line, arrow, and arrow head. The hand reel screws right into the stabilizer hole. If you going to bowfish mott lake, I'll draw up a map from terra sever, and send you a map via email and show you where I have had the best luck. I will not be out bowfishing for a few weeks..... :( WORK..... But the mornings are the best time to bowfish. I went at dusk and didnt see a thing. Good luck and let me know your email address... Josh PS do you know RYAN the kid with the crate on his bike? lol
