Started out by hitting Erie Metropark with the family today at noon. We set up the BBQ and were at the wave pool until 5pm. It was a little crowded but still a nice get away. The family had a good time in the wave pool.
We hit the water just after 5pm heading out to my numbers in front of Fermi. We marked many fish suspended but didn't have much hope after one guy told us he only got one walleye due to the boat traffic. We lucked out as most boats were done for the day as we headed out.
We ended up 4 for 6 with all being throwbacks. We did have one real good hit which is when I realized Jessy was grabbing the rod and giving it slack losing the fish. We went to me grabbing the rod and reeling to them. Everyone got to bring a fish to hand. No sheep but 2 for 2 on white perch. We marked alot of fish but not many takers. I'm sure the boats put the bite off.
All fish on meet rigs about 40 back on 1 oz BBs. Yellow and orange blades seemed to work best at about 2 mph.
The motor still ran pretty bad but I'm still running that bad gas out. The tune up checked everything ok with only the timing being off and fixed. I'm gonna see if I can't find a pump to get that stuff out.
