I could use a little help from those of you in the know. Been reading these forums for a while now and most of you seem to get into the fish on a regular basis. Just bought a new boat (25' Regal) and would like to take Dad out on the lake after some walleye. Anyone willing to help out a rookie? Where is a good place to go on the pond this time of year? If walleye aren't doing well how about the perch? Oh yeah, I don't have a kicker-motor yet so I would have to drift or anchor. I have a slip at the Selfridge marina so It would need to be near the north/middle of the lake or Metro area. I'd like to start fishing regularly out there with you guys, just need a little "shove":fish: in the right direction.

You made the Biggest commitment already!! Buying the boat.....now comes the easy part...trying to enjoy it !! There is a post of perch off the Cotton Rd. Area....try that area out first....rod with perch rigs and minnows , and a second rod with Slip-bobber
