I've been married to Dawn for 5 yrs. and we've lived together for a total of 12 yrs. and we've fished a ton of places & caught a ton of fish togther - but on our last anniversary (06-03-2005) she caught her first Smallmouth Bass. We were after another BlueGill dinner... She was using her 10' Pinnacle Steely rod with a #10 Glow Ratt Finkee 2 ft. under a little bobber dressed with a medium leech... I told her I had seen a bass swimming around when we pulled up to fish .... guess who knocked on her door??

I think she was kinda happy...........:lol:

It was kinda breezy & chilly that day - but it was hot in the boat!!

nice fish. My first smallie was also a hog, 4+. It gets you even more excited to catch your first of a species, and have it be a pig. Congrats to her.

Nice fish. Smallies are my favorite fish to catch. So far, my fiance has caught the biggest fish this year between the two of us and that was a smallie.
