Was talking to a fisherman who said he heard that they were going to close down the launch on South River Road by the D.N.R.
He said the sheriffs dept. was going to run the new one they opened up south of Crocker. Took a ride to look at the new one, it,s nice but not nearly the size for parking. I am wondering if it will be just for Harrison Twp. people to use if this is the case.
Might just be a rumor but this is what I heard.

I just read an article in the Mt. Clemens "journal" it did not say anything about closing the other launch. I haven't heard anything either. They did say that they neighborhood was worried about traffic. If this is a huge concern I do not see them closing down the other one. Besides with the growing rate of boat ownership I think they needed another one.

Its a DNR launch. Your public access sticker will let you in. Open to the public. It'll come in handy next spring for walleye. Won't have to go to Metro and go down Black creek with no wake.

It is a real nice ramp.. looks like they may have plans to add some additional parking.. I don't know but they had an area grated off to the side. The do need to get a light there as soon as they can.. They have already paid for it.
