I just ordered one for my new Wheeler Baryonyx SD, just wondering if anyone has tried it, and what you thought.

Thanks

I have nothing but good things to say about mine. Used it all last season with no problems, no complaints. Worked well for me shooting out to 40-45 yards with fixed blade heads (Slick Tricks) out of a somewhat fast bow (285fps).

I would just suggest that you have someone knowledgable set it up, if you are like me and want that expertise in your favor and don't have it yourself.

Hope this helps...

Great rest. I have it on my Switchback. Nice that it contains the arrow and doesn't fall away when you let down the bow.

Rest works great. No complaints. You'll be happy I'm sure.

Very happy. Just got it in and set up yesterday, I like it. I set it back as far as I could cause the launcher arm was smacking the shelf, so I slid it back so that the launcher sits just behind the riser when its down. Seems to be workin fine so far. Gonna get some arrows fletched tommorow and chrono the new rig, Im thinkin just shy of 290.

A certain shop that I shoot out of in Grand Rapids puts one of these on every single bow that is sold out of the shop. The shopowner uses one himself and swears by it for hunting. Me? I've never used one, I'm a golden key futura guy myself.

Yup, Frank talked me into mine last year and put it on too! I didn't have any trouble with mine slapping the riser shelf, though. I think if you move it too far back you may struggle with getting it past that wrist pivot point and it would start to exhibit the down side of an overdraw? Just a guess, and the design of the rest itself my prevent it from going back that far?

My only complaint is that because I had the Winners-Choice stings on my bow, he had to use that little clamp deal instead of serving it right into the strings like he does with his main product offering.

Hope this helps...

I'm surprised ol Frank didn't try to talk you into a Zebra string. Yeah, Frank's been around archery for a loooong time and he's had the opportunity to use and test lots of rests. The fact that he's on Mathews Factory Pro Staff just increases his credibility when he makes a suggestion. So when he does make a suggestion I listen intently.

Time will tell I guess. I'll just have to mess with it a bit and see what happens. I didnt understand why it was hitting the shelf but there is no way that I know to avoid it.

No, I already had the WC string on when I went in there to look at the QAD rests. I know the Zebra's are suppossed to be good, but I had done allot of research and the consensus was that the WC were the way to go.

I would think the shelf slap would be an adjustable thing to correct?

I was never impressed with the Zebra strings either. I really like Cordoza strings, in my experiance they twist less than WC. The next strings I will try are from Mike "Crackers" Carter of Carter Archery.

My 2 cents
