3 for 18 on Erie

Fished Erie out of Sterling today from 7am to 12:30 pm. Started out off Fermi in 18 to 20 fow and had constant action on hotntots. Unfortunatly most were throwbacks at 14 1/2 inches. Was able to keep 2 off Fermi. Finished up in Brest Bay where a 19 incher rounded out my take. Gold w/black back tot caught all the keeps with rainbow mettallic catching most of the dinks. Throw in 3 sheep for the heck of it and it was a fun day. 3 keepers for 18 landed. Fish fly shells were everywhere but they looked older. Hopefully the hatch is waning. Water temps were from 75 to 78 degrees.

I went out of Swan Creek today from noon until 4pm (was waiting to see what was going on with the storms) with my daughter. Seemed all fish we encountered wanted meat. No hits on tots or a stinger spoon but we threw back at least 24 and had one keeper (about 19") with two sheep. The bite was off when the sun came back out and the fish slipped to the bottom.
