I was at a farvorite watering hole last night, and got into a conversation with a couple of guys...... They were telling me that they were out at Metro yesterday morning, and were catching quite a few perch. 3 or 4 dinks for every 9" or better keeper. They said they were fishing out at the end of the boardwalk, where the channel opens up into the lake. Then they went out to Stoney Point (ensign) in the afternoon, around 3, and did excellent there.... They said they were using perch rigs and minnows...... Anybody else hear anything about this???? Please let me know,,, I'm landlocked (no boat) until hard water, and was going to go out to 28 mile this weekend for pike, but if the rumor is true, I'd rather go catch a nice mess of perch. I've know these guys for about 2 years, from the watering hole, and they dont seem to be the story telling type, but I wanted to see if anybody else has heard anything.

Thanks, and bring on the ICE!!!

Fished from 8:00 A.M to noon at the end of south river road D.N.R and got nothing. Not even a bite. Talked to 4 guys comming off the water and they got nothing also. Water was very muddy and alot of waves. Glad I didn,t take out the boat, everyone that went out I seen comming back after an hour. Tried out at Metro and the same thing. A guy told me that they were getting them 2 days ago but who's to say.

Went out from Metro Wed. around noon the only green water we found was north of Beacon Cove to Metro point the rest of the lake looked like choco. milk. tried a few spots in front of Gino's had trouble getting anckor to hold. About an hour and no bites we were out a there. It will be 4 or 5 days befor that mess settles down.
Good Luck
