All right guys, I may have got a bit over my head but I have a question. I got boat hull that needs some extensive rivet replacement. There is no floor so I can get to most of them.

Question? Should I buy the solid aluminum rivets and find a helper, which may be hard, and doi it with the air peener? Mind you I would have to borrow all the tools cause I don't even have an air compressor.

Or should I buy the sealed end pop style blind rivets? I can get them through mc ,master carr at a price that won't break the bank.

I'm not gonna tell you how many I have to replace, but its alot. What would you do in this situation.

I would go the peener/helper route. I believe that is the style of rivet used by the factory for most boats. Personally I would be hesitant to use pop rivets since they are not factory (at least on my boat).

Been there done that, here is what I did.

I replaced approx 38-39 in mine last fall and it doesnt leak one drop. If you have some questions feel free to ask.
