1979 Thompson 24' Express Cruiser

Any opinions on the older Thompson boats??

I have a deposit on one pending a good survey.

The old Thompsons were a lot of boat for the money,,not really a bad boat,,a lot of people would say they were a "good boat for a good price"
I had a 1976 Thompson for a few and it seemed to be a pretty sea worthy craft.
What kind of power package dose this boat have?

It's got a MerCruiser V8 - The guy says he had it up to 42mph the other day. We're taking it for a test drive tomorrow.
