Me and two buddies hunted yesterday in the on and off rain. We got in the woods around noon and after a few hours we were soaked at least my a** was. We met back at the truck to dry off and change some clothes, we waited around an hour to see if the rain would stop, but it only slowed down. The one guy hunting in the front stand said he had a 4 pt. underneath him for a while. We decided to go back out till dark. My one buddy had to leave early, so on his way out he seen a couple big bucks and about 20 does in the pumpkin patch still during legal shooting time. Then after and eventless evening for myself I went back to the truck to meet my other buddy, and he said he had a really big buck near his stand, he missed a 20 yard shot, his shooting lanes in that stand are tight, so he had to shoot through some leaves, clean miss and after the shot the buck bounded 20ft. then casually walked away. He also seen at least 4 does and a couple of yearlings. The guy that left early yesterday is going to hunt that stand this evening. At least it was a clean miss, and he did'nt spook the buck. There is alot of acorns and branches falling, so I think thats what the buck thought.
