I don't believe you are allowed. No weapons in a Metropark.

I know that the Huron Clinton Metroparks are very anti-hunting (even though their charter agreement many decades ago says different) and anti weapons. They have been known to try to chase away duck hunters in the fall and have even threatened them with arrest. However, they had to give in to legal hunting on the water but no hunting from shore.
So, you probably can bowfish but would have to do it from a boat. And, the bow would have to be in a case until you were away from the shore or dock.

Just south of the metropark there is stateland with lots of shore line area to bowfish from. Pt. mouliee state game area, no shortage on carp in the area.

Since I wrote the above sentences I came across a set of Metropark rules and it looks like the only weapon that can be allowed in a case is a shotgun which is going to be used on a boat by a licensed duck hunter.
So, turnquij's sugesstion of trying the Pt. Mouliee State Game Area is a good one.
