Are new creastliner trailer sets to low to set the motor down the check the motor oil . (just don't like doing it in the water with my luck a will drop the dip stik. so I was thinking of moving the leaf spring to the top of the axle it's now on the bottom side . will this make the trailer pull weird ? if not all i would have to do is make a set of axle cradle mounts and weld them to the top of the axle and a new set of U-bolts . not a big thing for me to do. also flip the trailer ball over on the receiver . and all would be with in a 1/2 inch . any ideas of a better way ?

Flipping axles to change the leaf spring position is done on RVs often. Don't think it would make your trailer tow strangely, as long as the axle alignment is correct.

it may raise your trailer 4". what will that do to launching and retrieving? just drop a 2x4 or 2 on the ground and back it on them to get high enough to set the motor down. cheaper and easier than the entire job your talking.
as for having to weld spring perches on the other side of the axle you should be able to rotate the axle. if it has breaks you may be able to unbolt the backing plates and rotate the axle then bolt them back on under the leaf springs. the trailer really does not care if the axles are under or above the axles. as long as they are square and bolted down correctly.

Flipped my axle on an older trailer. Worked great for towing, but had problems at shallow launches,,,, had to back way down. Good luck.

The lower the boat sits on the trailer, the better for towing, launching, and retrieving. Everything gets exponentially more difficult as the boat sits higher on the trailer. Polarbears idea is good, just back up on something.
