Some of you may have read about my recent adventure on Harson's Island. Since I have my kid's college graduation coming up in 2 weeks I figure I will head up to Hesperia and pick up my small boat this coming weekend.
The people in the Hesperia sporting goods and bait shop and the guy in the shop in Fremont both said that Fremont Lake was the best one around for Carp shooting. Right now I have the Carp shooting bug so I am hoping someone will let me know the ins-outs of Carp on that lake.

Isn't too hard on that lake to find carp. All along the east shore weed beds carp are everywhere. I must have seen a hundred just cruising, gulping air and coming right up to the boat and having a look see.
Catch a warm calm day and they will be everywhere. If you have a small boat with a quiet trolling motor you should have no problem seeing them.. shoot about a hundred for me........

This is the area with that wide flat shelf of marl, about 3 to 4 foot deep before it starts the steep drop-off?

I will see what I can do for you. Have they already started showing up and doing their spawning dance in the shallows?

The carp I seen Friday were anywhere from shore all the way out to the weed bed drop off edge. Numerous ones just cruising on top of the water almost out to the middle of the lake........
You won't have a problem seeing any so long as its fairly calm...
