Set lines about 8:15 this morning and had a keeper pike within 15 minutes on DDHJ12 Glass Clown. Before we had a chance to reset lines a drum took the HJ14 Purple Perch on 2 color core. Trolled around for a while then we took a decent white bass on a clown stinger scorpion spoon set as a fixed slider above a DDHJ12. Keeper pike #2 hit the same glass clown husky shortly thereafter. Then the spoon took a hammer handle...lost a fish on the DDHJ glass clown and then the rigger popped with the clown Rattlin' Rogue set 50' back, 14' down...hold on...BIG fish!!! Turns out to be an 8lb channel cat :yikes: Same set-up hits another hammer handle and we call it a day :)
Nice day to get out other than the stiff onshore "breeze". Clown was the color of the day, no doubt!
