Lake erie smackdown

Fished Erie today did pretty good but it took awhile, we started out along edison fished 15-19 fow and the hump but all we caught was little ones so we ran over in front of stoney point. We weren't marking any fish and as we trolled north we started getting into the weeds so I headed south east stopped to check it out with my graph and lo and behold strong marks 5 ft off the bottom. Threw the lines in and within 15 minutes had 3 keepers 15-16 inches turned around and went back through that area and my bud got a tremendous hit on his side he grabbed the rod and started cranking and said Jimmy this thing is pulling like crazy and you know what I was thinking of course its a sheephead but I didn't say anything. Long story short when he finally got this thing next to the boat I couldn't believe my eyes 29 inch walleye! He just about pissed his pants right on the spot :lol: We ended up limiting with only 3 fish under 18 inches. Was a great day can't wait untill next year as we caught well over 25 small eyes. Haven't figured out how to post my pics so if anyone wants to see em let me know and i will e-mail. Funny thing is I talked to a guy at the dock he had 3 limits and when I asked where he was told me he was in 17- 19 fow in front of edison which is where I started :dizzy: Oh by the way rattle tots where the hot ticket for us.
