Body - black chenille (medium or ultra) or crosscut rabbit
strip wrapped as a body
Head - orange or chartreuse chenille (medium or larger)
Hackle - black saddle palmered
Comment - One of the most
effective flies to use for steelhead during the
spawn. Seems to be everyone's favorite
steelhead/salmon pattern, originating in Alaska for
carnivorous rainbows. Great for bedding
fish. Go down to the Tippy and look in everyone's
fly box - the Egg Sucking Leech will be one of the most
