yodas: I'll tell ya these gas prices ARE the pits
Mr.Ed: They lost between 50,000-100,000 gallons with the pipeline break.
Trout: I paid 169.9 today
yodas: I paid $1.90 today
Trout: That5s chicken feed to the oil companies ed
webmaster: Guys the new baiting regs are posted, have you seen them?
Mr.Ed: That's cheap. Filled up today at 1.99 for regular unled
Mr.Ed: Not yet.
Trout: Hey web did you get the boot
yodas: No, when did you post them
Trout: Two gallons of bait won't effect me
Mr.Ed: Maybe be chicken feed but they will stick it to us.
webmaster: yes, my isp sucks, cable modems are coming. Just posted the regs in the forums.
Trout: Yes in a big way :(
Mr.Ed: How much will a package of Deer Crack fill?
yodas: brb
webmaster: Depends how many pound you buy
Trout: I'd rather use scent drippers
Trout: with mock scrapes
Mr.Ed: Probably 5 at a time.
Mr.Ed: I' do that to Trout. But is nice to get them to stop for a nice broadside shot.
Mr.Ed: Especially when I'm bowhunting.
Trout: They'll stop for a gallon of corn
webmaster: Fred's talking about the special early season for kids. Saying they should have special hunts for ethnic groups as well.
webmaster: Sept 2-3 hunt for churchgoers only?
Trout: Martin Luther King deer day ?
webmaster: Special weekend for women?
yodas: I'm back
webmaster: Special weekend for first time hunters only?
Trout: Yoopers special hunts?
Mr.Ed: Nine months for us Polacks
Trout: :)
yodas: All ready have one of them, opens July 4th :)
webmaster: I mean if it gets more kids involved I guess its ok but it came from the governers office. Is this where hunting policy should be made.
Mr.Ed: And we can take 'em any way possible except for explosives.
webmaster: Proposal G says we should adopt regulations based on sound wildlife management information.
Trout: Youth hunts are ok just don't single out anyone
Mr.Ed: brb
webmaster: They have singled out someone. 14-16 year olds. Should they have a womens only weekend?
webmaster: Not many Chinese Americans hunt in MI, should we have a special weekend for them in August?
Trout: NO
webmaster: Sorry, this is one I agree with Fred on.
Trout: Might thin out the cats and dogs
yodas: You really don't like the youth hunt do ya web
*: You are on channel 1 with Trout, Mr.Ed, yodas.
Trout: Oh I might get sent back to the minor leauges
webmaster: Well, no. And I do have two sons. The oldest one I took hunting last year for his first time....Didn't need a special season to do it.
Trout: Thats what I thought at first but hey if it give a kid a chance to learn I say good
yodas: What the HECK are you talking about trout :)
webmaster: By the way Trout thanks for the nice article. Still need to get that hunting library shaped up. I'll get off my soap box now.
yodas: Did he hunt web, or just tag along ?
Trout: I am saying I'm all for the kids hunt
webmaster: He just tagged along. Was only 6 at the time.
webmaster: When he gets old enough he will hunt.
Trout: you missed the comment I made that way about cats and dogs so I'll forget it
webmaster: I think the people that are going to take their kids will do it anyway without a special weekend.
Mr.Ed: I agree
yodas: Yes they will, But it's nice to have a hunt just for them
Mr.Ed: Isn't that the first weekend after school starts.
Trout: I don't believe they will ,too selfish
Trout: They are safer in the woods
Mr.Ed: Kids will be doing other things like football and soccer. I don't know how well it will be used.
Mr.Ed: That is true Trout.
yodas: alot of truth to that one Ed
webmaster: Speaking of kids, I need to help get mine in bed, brb
Mr.Ed: My wife used to work security at a middle school here and said she couldn't beleive what was going on at the schools now.
Trout: I really believe the youth holds the KEY to huntings future and the numbers are dropping
yodas: Trout, any more news on you working out west ?
Mr.Ed: You are right Trout.
Trout: I got my nephew into the JAKES program for 5 bucks
Mr.Ed: I don't have any kids, but would love to help out.
Trout: Well the guy wants to pay me the same as here and no room and board
Trout: So I think I'll pass
Mr.Ed: Heck my parents don't hunt. I am the only one I know of in my family that does and do catch some grief because I kill Bambi.
Trout: It was only for 30 days
yodas: To bad it didn't work out
Trout: My brother and I are the only hunters in my family of 7 kids
Mr.Ed: Yodas thanks for all the info for my vacation.
Trout: Might go to Kentucky this winter
Trout: inside work metal studs
yodas: Not a problem, I would just hart for the U.P. to get a bad name :)
Mr.Ed: My brother is getiing his degree in wildlife biology from CO state U. He is the only one who backs me because he realizes it helps the population of certain species.
Trout: what are you talking about :)
Trout: yodas
yodas: Man trout, If your going to jump around like that you might as well move to the U P
Mr.Ed: We are gong to the U P off south Manistique Lake.
yodas: Talking to Ed on his vacation
Trout: I think we need to promote hunting in a big way real fast to our young people
webmaster: back
Mr.Ed: But how do we do it Trout?
webmaster: So take your kids out hunting!
Trout: Got to make the money first yodas and I was kidding you a few lines up :)
webmaster: Turn off the TV, pack em up in the truck and go.
Mr.Ed: We are going against things that are immediate gratificaion. Lots of kids don't have the patients because of video games.
Trout: I don't have any but if you know of any kids who would like to hunt birds send them my way
yodas: To tell you the truth, I think it is to late for us and the hunting thing, it's on its way out I just hope I'm dead and gone before it REALLY kicks in
Trout: Matter of fact I'll post that under hunts and trades for free
Mr.Ed: Don't be so pessimistic Yoda.
webmaster: That's why we need to join organizations like MBH, TNUSA, etc.
Trout: Well I'll die trying to save it
yodas: :)
Mr.Ed: So will I. I don't have any kids either.
Mr.Ed: But will do what I can.
Trout: Heck we get all them geese you miss and they need thinning out so I guess you are helping in your own way
Mr.Ed: I am thinking about Bear hunting in the future. Probably not till 2002. What is the cost of a tag in MI? and where is a good place to go? and will I need a Guide.
yodas: Us people in the U.P. will just do what ever we want anyway (A guy that sits on the NRC board told me that last deer season at deer camp)
Trout: Plus join the NRA so you have a gun to hunt with
yodas: Head NORTH Ed
Trout: I think you will spend about 600.00 or so
webmaster: Still working on the tee-shirt, hat thing. Getting excited about this now.
Mr.Ed: I saw one outside of Frederic while deer hunting last year.
yodas: Dam Trout I'd do it for half that
Mr.Ed: My Elk hunt next fall will almost cost me that for the tag alone.
webmaster: I would love to just see one while hunting. That would get your heart beating.
Trout: Check out the guide at www.houndmangsk.com ed
Mr.Ed: If you need some one to go with you next year Yodas let me know.
yodas: Elk Or Bear Web
webmaster: Trout, that guide is going to advertise with us. That's something I'm trying to set up tonight while I'm talking to you guys.
Trout: Yodas thats the going rate do you want to start a guide service I'm ready
webmaster: I'd like to see a bear Yodas
yodas: I don't bear hunt much any more ed, But if you draw a tag let me know
Trout: Web glad it worked out for you
Mr.Ed: So am I.
Mr.Ed: I will let you know yoda.
yodas: I was doing a little guiding when I lived in marquette
webmaster: If he signs up for a year trout you get a hat :)
Trout: ALL RIGHT :)
Trout: full of money too :)
Mr.Ed: Will my .300win mag work for bear. Or will I have to get something else.
yodas: What are we signing people up for now trout
Trout: I do this for fun web
yodas: More than enough gun Ed
Trout: advertiseing
webmaster: Don't know if I can do that trout. Not yet anyway. This new host is going to cost me a bundle per month.
Mr.Ed: Good. Don't think the wife will let me get another rifle.
Trout: I do this for fun ;)
Trout: 300 mag is my next gun Ed
webmaster: Trout by the way, what is that guides URL again?
yodas: Got my downriggers today
Trout: Power and flat and a good range of bullets all you need in one gun
Trout: www.houndmangsk.com
Trout: What type yodas
Mr.Ed: That is why I got it. Figured it would take anything I would like to hunt.
yodas: The only problem with the .300 mag is most people are afraid to pinch the trigger :)
Trout: Hey I talked to allen in alaska and he said it would work there
Mr.Ed: Look at the Winchester Model 70 Trout. I love mine.
yodas: Walkers, kingFishers
Trout: I just sold mine in 270
Mr.Ed: Mine doesn't have any more kick than a 12 gauge.
Trout: I hope you catch a bunck of salmon yodas
Mr.Ed: I think Win. are some of the finest high volume rifle you can find.
Trout: Yeah I shoot 3" slugs ouch!!!!!!!
yodas: Look at that remington ULTRA MAG .300
Mr.Ed: It doesn't look that much better on paper and the ammo is more expensive.
Trout: Is that the one they just bought it was a custom gun?
yodas: These gas prices don't start moving back down I'll have to take a bunch of gill nets with me the one time I fish this summer :)
Trout: Just empty the ones out there already
yodas: It's not a custom job,
yodas: The owners of them don't care for that to much
Mr.Ed: It is a new caliber for Remington to sell.
Trout: oh
Mr.Ed: A friend bought one and wishes he didn't. Says it kicks like a mule.
yodas: I thinkj the shells are BIGGER than my 10ga shells
Mr.Ed: Trade in his .300win mag
webmaster: I think just about any larger gun would kick my !@#$@#$. I'm not a big guy.
Mr.Ed: Where is everyone else tonight?
webmaster: Don't know ....its nice outside.
Trout: Heck I'm a smaller guy but you only have to pull the trigger a few times
Mr.Ed: I'm not either. That's why I tested some out first before I bought the 300
webmaster: Think I'd tear my shoulder off.
Trout: If you shooting at a game animal you never feel it till afterwards
Mr.Ed: My shoulder is half numb so it does not bother me.
Trout: I've got two staple in my right shoulder and I shoot 3" mags
Mr.Ed: They want to rebuild mune. No thaks I can live with it.
yodas: taple gun get away from ya trout :)
Trout: My biggest fault is not holding guns in tight and raiseing my cheek off the stock ouch!
Mr.Ed: They already did the knees. That was enough.
Trout: I have shot myself with nail guns before just pulled it out and kept working
yodas: Oh, the .300 will LOVE you for that
Trout: fell through a floor last year and kept going too
Mr.Ed: You sound like me Trout.
Trout: Pain is only in your head no brain no pain
Trout: Thoose elephant guns scare me
yodas: Ok, Trout, lets see what kind of tricks you will do with a shock collar on :)
Mr.Ed: I have a hollow head. When my wife says knock on wood she naps my head a few times. Sounds like a hollow coconut.
Mr.Ed: Those collars sure do work.
Trout: Hey my dog has one maybe I could borrow it yodas
yodas: Never had one on ed
webmaster: Trout, I just got Jim's account set up. Should start around the middle of June.
Trout: Like magic Ed
Trout: Great web
Mr.Ed: Trust me they do. Chalk it up to stupidity
yodas: Give it a shot trout, Just make sure cindy sends me a picture of it when your done
Mr.Ed: I wont go any further with that story.
Trout: I was holding a wet leash and zapped the dog and me WOW they work
yodas: Ed, You didn't ??
Trout: I can turn my dog 180 degrees real fast
Trout: It saved his life many times
Mr.Ed: I did not think it would work. Wife asked me to put it on. I did. Dropped me to my knees. Needless to say it went on the right quick.
Mr.Ed: Went on the dog that is.
yodas: I KNEW IT,
Trout: ]Had the dog catcher here about my dog chaseing the neighbors ducks
Mr.Ed: I said it was a case of stupidity.
Mr.Ed: That and a few too many.
yodas: Trout you been fishing at all
Mr.Ed: Ever see the episode of cheers when Cliff was going through shock therapy. That says it all.
Trout: Was going tonight but I think I'll just paddle around in the lake
Mr.Ed: Seeking of Fishing how is it now in da U P Yoda?
Trout: Maybe I'll long line a rapala floater
webmaster: Sounds like the trout hatches are ready to take off in the lower.
Trout: Web I checked out TSS

Hunter333: I went there with Boy Scouts but other than that I havent been up that way
